A day of new economic thinking and practice in Rotterdam

New Economies: moving from the margins to the mainstream brings together 180 thinkers, changemakers, funders and organisations working across the new economy, wellbeing economy, social economy, solidarity economy and more.

Curated by a range of partners, the day will involve speaker panels, workshops and time to build relationships, providing an opportunity to:

  • Explore pressing questions and opportunities we face as a growing field

  • Make and deepen connections across movements, geographies, disciplines and agendas

  • Share ideas and practice, and find inspiration and challenge for your own work.

Nieuwe Instituut, Rotterdam

We are delighted to have the Nieuwe Instituut, museum for architecture, design and digital culture, as our venue for the day, located in Rotterdam’s beautiful Museumpark.

Partners for a New Economy

The event is hosted by Partners for a New Economy. We’re an international philanthropic fund focused on redesigning our economy for nature and all people to flourish.

“Our economy redesigned for nature and all people to flourish.”

Mission Lab

On the 14th September, the day after our New Economies event, we will be gathering a small group of people to dive deeply into a facilitated series of thematic missions across finance, monetary policy, economics education, movement infrastructure and ecological principles.

This Mission Lab day is by invitation only, to ensure we have a balance of perspectives and expertise in each small group. If you have received an invitation to participate in the Mission Lab, please ensure you have registered via the link in your email invitation and follow the button to learn more about the day.
